The upper age limits for different categories are: 42 years for UR candidates, 45 years for OBC candidates, and 47 years for SC/ST candidates, as of January 1, 2024.

South East Central Railway (SECR) Vertical reservation:
SC/ST/OBC-NCL candidates must provide relevant caste certificates at the time of Document Verification, ensuring they meet non-creamy layer criteria for OBC-NCL. Failure to comply will result in consideration under the General category if eligible.
South East Central Railway (SECR) Horizontal reservation:
As per Railway Board's letter dated 27.12.2022, horizontal reservation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) will be applicable in the GDCE.
