NLC India Limited, a ‘NAVRATNA’ Public Sector Enterprise is looking for engagement of personnel on Fixed Term Employment basis for a period of Three years for its Coal Mines of Talabira II & III OCP, Odisha. Application link https://www.nlcindia.in/new_website/index.htm

The crucial date for claiming SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/EWS status or any related benefits, including fee concessions, unless specified otherwise, is the first of the month in which the Notification is issued (i.e., 01/03/2024).

As of March 1, 2024, the upper age limits in years for various posts and categories are:

The period of engagement is purely on Fixed Term Employment basis for a period of Three Years from the date of joining.

Selected candidates will receive a monthly consolidated pay as specified in Para-1.0. Additionally, they will be eligible for:

• Provident Fund/Gratuity: As per applicable Acts/Rules.
• Medical Facilities: Provided based on NLCIL Medical Rules.
• Leave Entitlement: According to Company's Leave Rules.
• Travel Reimbursement: TA/DA and boarding charges reimbursed for Fixed Term Employment holders required to travel.
• House Rent Allowance (HRA): Provided for Fixed Term Employment holders without accommodation.

1. Reservation and relaxations for SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy layer)/EWS/PwBD (degree of disability 40% & above) & Ex-servicemen candidates will follow Government of India guidelines.

2. SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen Candidates are exempted from the application fee but must pay a non-refundable processing fee.

3. Candidates claiming EWS/OBC (NCL)/SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen status must upload valid certificates issued by the Competent Authority.

4. OBC (NCL)/SC/ST/EWS candidates applying for UR vacancies must meet the eligibility criteria for UR category, without relaxation except for application fee payment.

5. OBC candidates classified as "Creamy Layer" should apply under the UR category without concessions.

6. OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates must upload a valid OBC (NCL) certificate obtained from competent authority, dated on or after 01.04.2023, during document verification.

7. EWS candidates should upload a valid Income & Asset certificate issued by the competent authority, dated on or after 01.04.2023, during document verification.

8. PwBD candidates must possess a valid disability certificate as per the RPWD Act, 2016, subject to verification/re-verification.

9. Category once filled in the application form cannot be changed later, and candidates must submit requisite certificates issued by the Competent Authority.

10. PwBD candidates can apply as General candidates where there is no reservation for them, subject to the suitability of the posts identified for their disabilities.

• Duration of Written Test: 120 minutes
• Language: English only
• Minimum Qualifying Marks: 50% for UR & EWS candidates, 40% for SC/ST/OBC-NCL candidates against reserved vacancies
• Bonus Marks: 20 marks for Project Affected Persons (PAPs of NLCIL Project)
• Final Selection: Based on overall total score of marks obtained in the written test by candidates, with due reservation for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS categories
• Tie-Breaking Criteria: Date of Birth (senior candidate placed higher), Alphabetical order of the first name

• PAPs of lands acquired for NLCIL Talabira-II & III OCP Projects considered.
• Only one PAP/member/legal heir per Khata/genealogy/ROR/Khatiyan, even if multiple.
• Applicant must be land owner, legal heir, or nominated family member.
• Nominator can choose Spouse/Son/Daughter/Son-In-Law/Daughter-in-Law/Grandson/Grand Daughter.
• Legal heir eligible with consent of other heirs if land owner deceased.
• Either spouse eligible if both are land owners.
• If family member works for NLCIL outside LA scheme, another eligible.
• Legally adopted children eligible with valid documents.
• Purchases after 05.10.2016 of NLCIL-acquired property not eligible.
• Settlers on Government Lands and claims based on relatives' awards ineligible.
• FTE candidates should not have availed Cash in lieu of employment & Annuity.
• Eligibility for Annuity & Cash upon completion/termination/discontinuance.
• Final eligibility based on Project Head/Talabira II & III OCP recommendations.

Prior to appointment, each provisionally selected candidate must undergo a Pre-Employment Medical examination conducted by the Company's Medical Officer. The examination will determine the candidate's fitness based on NLCIL's prescribed health standards for the post. Only those found medically fit will be appointed.
