The Bankura District Court Recruitment 2024 notification provides the following details on the mode of selection & examination for different posts:

Upper Division Clerk

  • Phase-I: Written Examination (100 marks) with 50 Multiple Choice Questions each carrying 02 marks on General English, General Knowledge & Current Affairs, Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, etc. 1 mark shall be deducted for each wrong answer. Duration: 60 minutes.
  • Phase-II: Computer Proficiency, Work Management & Writing Skill (100 marks). Candidates will have to answer questions relating to preparation of Draft Note, Report, Letter Writing, Paragraph Writing, Precis Writing, etc. in computer. Duration: 2 hours.
  • Phase-III: Personality Test (40 marks).
  • Final Selection: On the basis of total marks obtained in Phase-I, Phase-II, and Phase-III, the final panel will be prepared.
Lower Division Clerk and Seal Bailiff
  • Written Examination: 100 marks comprising 50 Multiple Choice Questions each carrying 02 marks on Simple Arithmetic, English, Bengali, and General Knowledge. 1 mark shall be deducted for each wrong answer. Duration: 60 minutes.
  • Personality Test: 20 marks.
  • Final Selection: On the basis of the result of the Written Examination and Personality Test, the final panel will be prepared.
Process Server and Group-D
  • Written Examination: 100 marks comprising 50 Multiple Choice Questions each carrying 02 marks on Simple Arithmetic, English, Bengali, and General Knowledge. 1 mark shall be deducted for each wrong answer. Duration: 60 minutes.
  • Personality Test: 20 marks.
  • Final Selection: On the basis of the result of the Written Examination and Personality Test, the final panel will be prepared.

The standard of selection & examination for Upper Division Clerk is at par with Graduation level, while for Lower Division Clerk and Seal Bailiff it is similar to that of Madhyamik Examination of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education. For Process Server and Group-D, it is similar to that of Class-VIII.
