SBI PO Recruitment 2024 | Expected 2000 Vacancy Apply Online, Date, Qualification, Selection

The SBI PO 2024 Vacancy details are yet to be announced. However, the bank is expected to notify more than 2000 Probationary Officer vacancies.

• Graduation Degree: Candidates must have a minimum of a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university or any other equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
• Final Year Eligibility: Even if you’re in your final year of graduation, you can still apply for the SBI PO Exam 2024. However, you’ll need to show proof of passing your graduation when you’re called for an interview.
• Date of Passing Exam: The date of passing the SBI PO eligibility examination will be the date appearing on the mark-sheet or provisional certificate issued by the University/Institute. If the result is posted online, the date of result publication will be considered.
• Percentage Criteria: Candidates must indicate the percentage obtained in graduation, counting up to the nearest two decimal points in the online application form. Marks mentioned as CGPA/OGPA must be converted into percentages.
• Fraction Consideration: The fraction of a percentage may be ignored; for instance, 59.99% is considered less than 60%, and 54.99% is considered less than 55%.

• Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes (SC/ST): 5 years
• Other Backward Classes (OBC): 3 years
• Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD):
  • 15 years for SC/ST
  • 13 years for OBC
  • 10 years for General/EWS
• Ex-servicemen, Commissioned officers including Emergency Commissioned Officers (ECOs)/ Short Service Commissioned Officers (SSCOs): 5 years

• Visit the Official Website: Go to the official website of the State Bank of India at www.sbi.co.in.
• Click on the Registration Link: Look for the advertisement for the recruitment of Probationary Officers and click on the "Apply Online" link.
• Enter Required Details: Fill in your name, mobile number, email ID, and security code to register.
• Upload Required Documents: Upload scanned images of your photograph and signature in the specified format.
• Fill in Basic Information: Fill in your basic details, personal details, educational qualifications, and work experience.
• Review and Edit: Review your application form for accuracy and make any necessary corrections.
• Pay the Application Fee: Pay the application fee of ₹750/- for General, OBC, and EWS categories. SC/ST/PWD candidates are exempt from the fee.
• Submit the Application: Once all the details are filled and the fee is paid, submit the application form.

• Phase I: SBI PO Prelims
  • Objective Test: The Prelims exam consists of three sections: English Language, Reasoning Ability, and Quantitative Aptitude. The test is online and has no sectional cut-off, but there is an overall cut-off set by the bank based on the category of the candidates.
  • Shortlisting: Candidates numbering 10 times the number of vacancies (approx.) in each category will be shortlisted for the Main Examination from the top of the above merit list.
• Phase II: SBI PO Mains
  • Objective Test: The Mains exam consists of four sections: English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning and Computers, and General/Economy/Banking Awareness. The test is objective in nature and has no sectional cut-off.
  • Descriptive Test: The descriptive test is of 50 marks and is conducted immediately after the objective test. It is a written test that assesses the candidate’s writing skills.
  • Shortlisting: Candidates numbering up to three times the number of vacancies in each category will be shortlisted for the Psychometric Test, Interview & Group Exercise from the top of the category-wise merit list.
• Phase III: Psychometric Test, Interview & Group Exercise
  • Psychometric Test: The Psychometric Test is a group discussion and interview round. It assesses the candidate’s communication skills, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Final Selection: Candidates who clear all three phases will be selected as Probationary Officers in SBI.
